ECU reset: Have you done it?

https://g35driver.com/forums/faq-diy...cu-resets.html

Tried method #1. (**** to on, wait 3 sec, accel to the floor 5x fast in 5 sec etc)

I cannot get the CEL to blink. At all. I must have tried 10times+. I am doing the right steps with the right timing.

Anyone ever reset 05x sedan ECU?

turn to on
3 seconds
5 fast pumps
wait 7 seconds
press and hold and wait for it to blink
let off and hold again until it pauses then blinks fast
turn to off then start car.

i have. worked just fine for me.... you need to pump the gas pedal 7x or more. thats where i got stuck..... i kept doing only 7x but reread the instructions and figured that out.... took a few tries but it worked like a charm!

What does resetting this do exactly? I read it has something related to idle speed?

If you have never done it, it will reset your car to factory settings which feel more aggressive. Response and throttle pick up. I bought my 06 used with 42K. After I reset it, it was actually able to peel out. It was awesome!

Have done the pedal reset plenty of times. Can pretty much do it every morning just before heading to work if I wanted to (which I don't do lol). I always refer people to the video below, yes it's a nissan titan but you get an audible and visual perception of the timing etc. once you figure it out it gets easier and easier. good luck
