G35x Exhaust Systems

Hi guys, I've been looking into getting a new exhaust for my 06 g35x, but I can't seem to find a quality system that will fit my car except for one, but I'm not entirely sure it will fit. It is the ARK performance grip catback system, but it does not specify if it is applicable with the AWD models. Can someone please help me out? Thanks.

Last I heard, Ark doesnt make an exhaust for sedans.

I believe Stillen is the only catback exhaust that is confirmed to fit AWD sedans right out of the box.

I know they make them for the 07, is there any way I could somehow modify it to fit an 06? Or are they completely different?

The coupe mid pipe with the HKS muffler is a good option for the X. Or Magnaflow muffler in the style you like. Both produce great sound and looks.

I'm sorry guys I'm completely new to all this I'm only a 17 year old kid. Can someone try and explain how the hks system for the coupe would fit my car, I'm confused.

There is lots of information if you search, but because the x has a different Y pipe you have to get the right system. So you can use the HR Y pipe or stay stock. The Y pipe bolts to the mid pipe, which you can use from any of your generation cars. The mid pipe bolts to the muffler which you can only use from sedans of your generation. Lots of people bolt the coupe mid pipe to an aftermarket sedan muffler, like the HKS sport muffler or Magnaflow.
Look under your car and see how they all fit together. The members here say you won't get a lot of HP gains, the mods are mostly for sound.

I have a Megan Racing OE-RS and it's not really a catback, it's from the stock Y pipe back. It fits on perfectly without modification and make the G sound like a racecar. But if you don't want to wake up the neighbors at night, you can try to find a coupe Mid-pipe and put you stock axle-back right on, you'll get a deeper tone without the drone. I personally love my Megan Racing system.

Watch this, It's my car:
