the power to weight ratio means a lot.. but so does reaction time, so if he even got a 1/2 second jump on the reaction time and his car in 600lbs lighter you can expect a close race.. like everyone else has said.. make it fair and safe, go to a track..

 

I was in my brother's Mazda3 last night and telling him about this thread. He floored it at the light 0-60 to show its acceleration. We didn't realize there was a G35 coupe beside us. I laughed and said here is our chance to test the theory. Of course my brother didn't bother since it won't even be close. At the next light, the G35 took off very quickly. That driver probably thought we wanted to show him up. However, it was just coincidental. I thought it was funny. That driver probably felt insulted and thought we were trying to beat his G35 with a Mazda3.
