New motor finally

my motor seized with 70,000 miles on it, I've finally got around to installing a new motor . I purchased the new motor from a 2004 350z with 30,000 miles on it about a year ago. I've owned the car for almost 10 years now and planned on keeping it for ever, I will prob be selling it instead

I hope to be driving it again this week , i'm still waiting on a few parts i had to order to finish the install.

Motors meeting for the first time

I paid 1,200 for the motor and I'm doing the install myself. A shop would charge at least 6-10 hours on a swap which could cost easily another 1k for installation.

I pulled the motor from the top, an easier way would be dropping it down or just pulling the motor out of the front which could be done in a garage without lifts.

Holy hell, I remember this car from when I first joined the boards. I think it might've even been for sale at the time; unfortunately, I couldn't swing a trip to FL to get a Nismo sedan.

Yep It prob was for sale at that time haha, I've been back and forth with this car for a long time. I even had an SFR TT kit I never installed back in the day, I ended up selling the kit for an R1 which was much more fun to drive. Turned out the R1 transmission got ****ed due to my chain snapping and getting caught in the front sprocket, the G's motor went out a few months later as well.

Finished the motor install last week, everything is telling me to keep it now .

Dude is just keep it after all the work you've done. I bought 06X last summer and have no intention of selling it ever lol. If the motor goes I'll just swap it out too. Nice swap and clean ride just keep it bro

Unless you've fallen out of love with the car, I'd keep it. I'm beginning to see less and less G sedans out and about; however, I still think they look great when I see one on the road.

I've had mine for 6 years and still enjoy it... needs a little love on the suspension and body work, though. Hope to get it fixed up and enjoy it for another 6 years. It's really hard to argue with a car that looks good, has been super reliable, and is paid off.
