Arrow Blitz Nur Spec muffler vs. HKS Muffler

Okay, so I decided that I definitely want to buy the "coupe midpipe". I wanted to know which muffler between the two was better since they are about par in price. Maybe even no muffler? Also, your thoughts on sound and appearance, since the HKS looks stock and the Blitz is a big "coffee can"-hehe.

i have the HKS. its very nice sounding and i boutght it because of the twin tips. however, adding it to a coupe midpipe might not be the best idea. although i haven't heard the combination myself, there have been a couple members here on the board that combined both the coupe midpipe and the HKS muffler and hated the sound of it. i'm guessing it was too loud and/or too raspy sounding. maybe the people who have tried it can chime in . . .

Ive heard the HKS rear section on a G35 Sedan, the kid has 3" piping from the cats and back, to the HKS muffler, it sounds really nice, he also has headers soo it might be a little louder than his i assume, but other than that i love the sound of the HKS muffler, i just bought the Borla TD for the sedan because i wanted some power and love the stock look, dont get a coffee can for the sedan, def for the coupe but not sedan...

I had Blitz on my G Sedan due to it was offer to me at half the price of HKS. I don't like the coffee can style tip but its the same size as the stock Lexus IS300, so its really not that big and its sound awesome. Sounds like my old 300zx/NA with HKS 3" turbo exhaust on.

I have the HKS muffler. I bought it from one the board members who sold his Sedan.
He (mbarrad) tried to add the Coupe mid-pipe to his HKS and said it sounded terrible
and not to do it. I did not hear the combination in person, so I can't say what it sounded
like. Too bad...I would love to try the mid-pipe swap also, but am discouraged.

I have heard a HKS muffler with the oem mid pipe from the outside and while driving in the car. I also checked out the muffler's design, pretty good setup on all count's, IMO.

Would that be the Coupe mid-pipe or the Sedan min-pipe?

That is the setup I have. Original mid-pipe coupled to the HKS muffler.
The point was that adding the Coupe mid-pipe the the HKS muffler on a Sedan
produced undesirable noise. Agreed, it sounds great on the Sedan with the
stock OEM mid-pipe.

I have the HKS now & it sounds great.

I seem to recall that mbarrad's issue might have been
due to vibration from contact with the heat shield or cross brace
(but unconfirmed)
I'm adding the coupe midpipe in a couple of weeks so
I'll know for sure soon. I'll post my findings
