New owner!

Just picked up an 05 G35 with 150k miles, kinda a light blue. Paid around 6500 OTD. that was the top of my price range, and it seemed to be different than anything else in my price range. Interior is well "loved."

A few questions:
1) I only got 1 Key, what is the best way to source a 2nd key?

2) having never owned a infiniti before, is there a list of things to look at/check out?

3) are there some maintenance things that should really be taken care of?

4) when I went to start it tonight, the radio didn't turn on... and I couldn't figure out how to get it to turn on.... is this a common issue/ easy fix? I will be going out again to check it out...

If these are common questions and there have been some good replys, feel free to respond with a link. I've been at the dealer for the last 4 hours with a wife and 3 kids so I'm absolutely fried right now... (we didn't have any issue, but the people before us they had to work out some funky financing to get them into a $50,000 suburban, and we had to wait for them).

and I figured out about the fob, and will see who will cut a key for me. I'm used to saabs (I've had 5) and getting new keys is a PITA and expensive.

Figured out the radio thing too... That sucks. But hey I'll be able to add some features I don't have. (aux port and possibly nav.) - What is the best source to get the new bezel?

anything else I should look at/for?

Key has a chip in it that has to be programmed so it can be expensive.

Bezel and a/c controls can usually be had from vendors on here, riverside infiniti or grubbs infiniti for jdm. For a cheaper and cheaper looking part you can get the Metra kit. It is plastic, not aluminum.

Btw i love the color.

At your mileage i would change oil/filter, trans fluid (drain and fill), rear differential fluid, power steering fluid (suction via bulb turkey baster), brake fluid (flush), new plugs and make sure your spare has air in it. Check your compression rod bushings. When you change your plugs you might find oil in the spark plug tube, common problem, search for the solution.

I bought it from a dealer, so they did a fluid change/tune up on it. New engine fluids/brakes/tires/plugs. (at least they gave me the service records from their shop saying that they did, and the fluids look all new). I will check the rear diff fluid since that wasn't listed in their service records, and the bushings. (I doubt they touched the suspension, but it feels nice and tight).

The purchase was a bit unexpected, so I had to borrow a small amount of money for it. so I will pay it off in a couple of months then tackle the radio. Just glad its doable, and the option is already there.

and even this key has a chip?

That's the key I have and a fob that looks like the one in the picture.

If the previous owner didn't give you service records, you can check with Infiniti to see if they have any records before doing what 51850DS recommends...he's spot on!

Yes it is an anti-theft measure. The car wont start without the chip next to the ignition.

Clean car for the mileage. I've got the same number of miles on mine.

Notice it's missing a few options so it appears it's a base model RWD sedan. Only option would be the sunroof if equipped...most are.

Some plastX will clean up the headlights well.

Color is sweet.

The color is what got me. LOVE IT. Yes, I think its just a base, and it has a sunroof.

If you email infiniti can you get a build sheet? I know you can do that with jeeps. I have an 89, and they emailed me my build sheet which was awesome.
