Thunk going from P to D.

Thunk going from P to D.
So i've developed a thunk/clunk/slam, what ever you would like to call it on my 05 with 164k miles I have only had it the last 10k miles (less than a year) and its been quite reliable, so would like this taken care of as soon as possible. it doesn't happen every time, just some times.
I did a search, but didn't see any other threads from people complaining about the same thing. In previous cars its been anything from old fluid to a bad transmission mount that has caused this issue for me, so I thought I would ask if others have had this problem, and what did you do to resolve it?
Also, I couldn't find a video/thread with instructions on where and how to check the transmission fluid. I'm used to working my old 80's jeep and everything is so much more simple with lots and lots of room to work.
