Just so ya know...

All the engine mods you put in are negated as well unless this reset is performed. I put the injen intake in and over a couple weeks my car seemed slower than before the mod. I guess the o2 sensor detects additional air from intake and reduces gas flow. 3 hours of no juice and she's a bimmer beater again. You can cut 9 hours off the 12 hour rule by holding the brake pedal down after disconnect for 1 minute or so. I will be installing a big rig style battery switch as to avoid the 3 minutes to open hood.

hmm intresting..

how can holding the break pedal for one minute after disconnect cut 9 hours??

Any residual charge would be drained by the brake lights.
