Crack on Area around Power Steering

Hey Guys, I need some help,

2004 G35X.

I was driving and a rock flew on to the road(construction) and went under my car.

I drove the car safely home and spotted this the picture attached below.

Any help would be appreciated on this.

Take it to a muffler shop and get an estimate

Sorry for the bad picture.

I figured it out. I cracked the engine cradle/subframe. The piece that holds the engine mounts and the power steering rack to the frame.

Due to the X having different components. I am sourcing a used subframe for me to use.

My steering is loose and to center it, it is turned to the right. Will have to look into what may be causing this as well.

That's a pretty gnarly crack! This is what's causing your steering to be loose and off center as well.

That's a pretty major crack. How big was this rock? Had to be a considerable size to cause that

It was a decent sized rock. There was construction on the side of the road so I drive careful always. The rock from the pile of the debris fell onto the road before I had a chance to react.

I had a G Specialist check into the damages and I am glad to say I got off a bit lucky but am very thankful. The aluminum splash cover from TBW saved my oil pan, engine, and suspension from being damaged. Highly recommend people take a look into his cover.

Only damages were the damaged KFrame/Engine Mount Cradle, power steering rack unit, and the two outer tie rods.

This pretty much set in stone for me to raise the car back up to prevent issues like this from happening again. Not stock height but a modest drop that will be able to drive around the city.
