P0345 Help!

A few weeks ago I went to start up my 06 G35 Sedan and had a rough start and the VDC off, Slip, and SES, lights all lit up. Once it started up it drove fine. I took it to AutoZone to find out it was a Camshaft Position Sensor so I jumped the gun and replaced both sensors thinking it would fix it. I cleared the code and now a few days later I'm having the same issue. I also have a P0462 code now (my fuel gauge has been messed up for some time now). I'm wondering if it could be throwing codes due to a weak battery or if there is something else electrical going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Did you use after market or OEM sensors? Pretty much have to use OEM with Infiniti/Nissan if you want them to last.

I bought my car and soon after I had the same symptoms as you other than pulling a P0340 code instead of the P0345. Went to the dealer, got a new sensor, removed the after market one the used car dealer mechanic had installed and noticed 2 of the 3 pins were bent and not even making contact with the connector. Put the OEM one in and no problems since.

I went aftermarket. Should've known better. I'll probably just go oem and see what I can do about the aftermarket parts. Thanks for the advice!

On my wife's 2004 G35 had the same VDC, SES, slip lights on. Checked with my Autoxray code reader and gave me P0345 which is bank 2 driver's side cam position sensor. Ordered the genuine Nissan OEM sensor 23731-AL61A (angled version) watched some you tube videos then proceeded to change the sensor. Took off engine cover and was accessible from the passenger side of the engine bay reaching under the throttle body I felt the sensor and 10mm bolt. Used a flex head 1/4" drive ratchet and 10mm long socket to remove the bolt. While pulling and twisting I removed the bad sensor. You have to push the release tab in not up or down till it clicks to release the sensor.
not my pic but a visual to help know which direction to push the connector's release tab.

While doing this I somehow pulled one of the pins out of the connector. I had to get the harness above the motor to try to reinsert the pin, by removing the hose before the throttle body, release the harness retaining tabs from a couple of the retaining locations. and disconnect the harness from another plug near the firewall. While inserting the backed out pin one of the retaining tabs in the connector broke so I zip tied all the wires on the connector together while pushing in the wire with the loose pin.
I found a replacement pigtail from wiring specialties.com: VQ35 CAM SENSOR CONNECTOR - BLACK

The harness is very short and doesn't give you any slack to move it out above the motor. After installing it I reset the ecu the "easy ignition key gas pedal" way.
Turn ignition key to on position (do not go to start) wait 3 seconds
Depress and release the gas pedal fully 5 times to the floor fast
Wait 10 seconds, then depress the gas pedal to the floor and hold wait 12 seconds (cel light will start to blink) then release,
Depress gas pedal wait 10 seconds then release
Depress gas pedal wait 10 seconds then release
Turn off ignition then start engine.
