Depends on production month of the transmission if you have an '03, the cutoffs are "pre 09-2003" and "from 10-2003" verified with my local scrap yard, had to do a little research because this question has come up a couple times the last few days. Anything '04 to '06 is compatible for auto sedans.
You can check the ID number on the transmission to verify, no clue what visual indicators would be, You MIGHT need the transmission wiring harness, there are two different plug options on the transmission itself but the plug that goes into it will have the same 3 connections to the vehicle.

I just want to double check, i also have a 2005 auto G35 coupe that i want to do a tranny swap off a 2006 auto coupe. Your saying it worked no issues or ECU swapping?
