2005 Sedan SLIP VDC issue
2005 Sedan SLIP VDC issue
I was driving home today and all of a sudden my car stopped accelerating in gear, when I shifted to neutral I could still rev the car up. I tried limping it home by revving it up and dropping the clutch since I was only a mile away, as soon as the clutch engaged it wouldn't accelerate. The dash soon turned off completely, it flickered a bit then completely shut off. I pulled over and turned it off, tried to start it again and it wouldn't crank no clicks or anything, headlights were able to turn on but the windows would not operate. Decided to wait a bit and call my buddy who has a jump pack. Before connecting it I tried cranking it one last time and it gave me a really weak crank before it starting clicking. We connected the jump pack and it started right up and drove fine, the slip and vds light turned off. Any idea what this could be? I had an automatic coupe before and this issue was caused by the cam position sensor, soon as that was replaced everything was fine. Did a bit of reading before posting this and it seems like it could be a throttle position what do you guys think?
Do you think it's a battery issue? It didn't want to crank until it was connected to a jump pack, but it's been almost a week since the incident and it cranks right up every time.
grounds are good, went through and redid some, the one in the rear that mounts to the exhaust was the only "issue" still same thing happening

Mine was the same, 05 also. It would shut down at 75mph in-rush hour traffic on freeway which is somewhat exciting. I went ahead and replaced both camshaft sensors and the crankshaft sensor with Hitachi I bought online. Think I gave about $150 for all three, problem solved.

If I remember correctly it was 0340. Also when mine had the slip, vdc light on the clockspring was beginning to malfunction.
