My garnet fire 6 MT graphite leather premium/winter/aero arrived in time to really celebrate spring at its peak. Had it for 10 days now.

Local dealers hadn't been cutting any deals here--until Dubyah started a war. I went out the following Saturday and ordered what I wanted for $700 over invoice. Four weeks later it arrived. Now all my bimmer pals are asking to drive it. And I signed up for a BMW driver school at Watkins Glen later in the summer to show them what it can do. Can't wait to drive it on the track. Until then, there's a terrific narrow winding 3-mile downhill chute that connects my neighborhood and downtown. What great fun to drive really late at night when no one else is on the road and I can drive like I'm on a road track. How it hugs those curves when I step on the throttle!

You guys are good sports. I never knew I could love a car like this! What really amuses me is the change in my boyfriend's willingness to let me drive his BMW Z3 M roadster now. Just before my G arrived his eyes gleamed as he said 'can't wait to drive it.' I did a quick calculation in my head--"let's see 2 1/2 years with you and a total of 20 minutes letting me drive your roadster..." He pulled out his keys, dropped them in my palm and said 'here--go have some fun. see ya later.'

My favorite song to blare on the Bose with the G's sun roof open while blazin down the road is "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." Yes we do! We love our cars too. I like to see it shine and keep the brake dust off those wheels! Washed it 5 times the past two weeks cause it keeps raining on my shine.

The drive is even better than I dreamed. I love that throaty engine purr taking it through the gears. During the week I do mostly city driving. By the weekend the car seems to be begging for the highway or a little-traveled country road where I can really lay on the full throttle up to 6 and hear it hum so fine at 80. Can't wait to get it on the track this summer.

Hey, did you guys see that Alex Zanardi was back on the track at a CART trial the other day? The car he drove was rigged for all hands. Don't know if he had prosthetic legs in the car or not. They said that if he had been truly trying to qualify, he would have placed 5th. Amazing and inspiring.

So 20 minutes in the saddle of his Z-3 roadster. What makes me think you'll return the fave?
Nice to hear that a gal is that interested in keeping her ride nice a clean and in top shape. I get the impression you look after yourself the same way......
Love the Bose too but also like the pipes singing their song. Mostly I listen to their tune, with a little rock mixed in haha.
What an inspiration to see Alex Z in the car again. I saw him get in and yes he had his prosthetic legs with him. Apparantly he did so well with his driving he would have qualified 5th with the times he turned. They said he completed the 14 laps not finished when he crashed back a few years ago.
Nice to hear you like the G. Enjoy the ride and don't tease him too much with the keys.

I'd love to provide some pics and as soon as the rain stops I plan to take some. No kidding. It's rained almost nonstop the past 4 weeks since I got it. I'm also waiting for all my Zaino stuff to arrive to give it a great shine. So, please stay tuned.
