TCM questions
TCM questions
Hello all. So I'm having issues with TCM right now. I've tooken out the TCM multiple times and seems that the pin keeps breaking when I "abuse" the car a lil bit. Can I get a TCM from cars from other years and do I need to program a used TCM also or should I just get a new one and program it.
If it was a used TCM it doesn't require programming.
You could also use epoxy resin to build a little "reinforcement" for that pin to keep it from moving around. Something like JB Weld would be fine for that application just make sure to clean everything thoroughly with either brake cleaner or isopropyl alcohol so you get a good bond.
Are you making sure to clean the pin thoroughly and are you using flux?
Alternately I was thinking that pin is wide enough to be drilled out on either side then a jumper wire could be soldered into place.
