Recently got a a yatour bluetooth aux cd changer adapter and I've seen no one else install these in their G so I thought I'd test it out, however, I ran into an issue. The adapter comes with two wires, red and yellow. One is for 12v constant power and one is 12v ACC power. I've tapped in to the 10 pin radio wire corresponding to the colours yellow and red as I believe those are 12v powers but I get no power to the yatour device. Does anyone know if I'm connecting to the right wires? The device I'm referencing is attached and you can see the wires I'm talking about.
.
OK I see you have a 2006 sedan. Is it with a base audio system, Bose, or Bose + Nav? The Factory Service Manual for your AV system is here: https://www.nicoclub.com/service-man...F2006%2Fav.pdf
Scroll down below the viewing window and you can "click here to download a copy". That should show you all the pin outs involved.
It's with bose no nav. I am not too good with electrical diagrams like those but I'll check out the manual and see if I can make sense of it. I really appreciate it.
OK, I believe you got it right with the Battery+ (always powered) being pin-6 so Yellow from this device should tap into that pin-6 Yellow. But the ACC+ wire looks like it's pin-10 - a Light Green wire - so the Red of this device should tap into that pin-10 Light Green.
That's what it looks like to me in the manual but you could confirm it with a volt meter...
Yes according to the manual I just tapped in to the light green an hour ago, thank you. However still no luck, the connection seems good with the t tap but I'll try and maybe wire them with wire to wire contact and see if that maybe does anything. If not I don't know. The device doesn't seem to power on at all.
Just got it installed. The tap connectors weren't cutting into the yatour wires as they're very tiny. I just wrapped the wires and put electrical tape over them for now and it worked. Red to light green and yellow to yellow. Thanks again!
Glad you got it working, thanks for reporting back. I think '06 may have been the first year our Gs came with a hands-free phone system, and then music streaming wasn't allowed (at least not without NAV). So hopefully your new rig is more functional than the now ancient OEM tech.
