AC Line Discontinued

Whassup guys. Its been really hot recently and the last three summers i went without a/c, didnt care enough to fix it. Well that changed about a week ago, figured id actually get it going, one small problem tho, my A/C line that runs from my expansion valve to my condensor is discontinued, the line itself has one of the spring lock connections at the condensor that wont lock, i have an early model sedan, the part number is 92440-AM600. Apparently the 92440-AM601 wont fit, Has anyone been able to locate a replacement? Anyone online make them?

What makes you certain the 92440-AM601 won' fit? Infiniti likes to update/upgrade part(s) and if the original was AM600, then the AM601 must be a better and/or improved design that should fit in place of the AM600 part. I had the same issue with BCM for my 07 HR, it was 2 numbers higher than my old one and it works fine.
Best place to compare parts is eBay.

Ye im used to parts superseding, im a nissan tech, it gets annoying lol. But when i went to conceptz, they specifically say the 601s wont fit the early sedans, i cant even find a 600 on ebay or id compare pics, in between a rock and a hard space lol

Other option is to visit a local hydraulic store where they make AC lines or a auto shop that works mosty with AC and have them try to repair it?
Is it the end fitting bad or the rubber hose?

I just saw the line on ConceptZ website but i don't know how yours looks like. Are the fittings the same at least?
I assume you did look at the line in your car and the one on ConceptZ photo..?

Looking at the spring locks, i did have the same issue on one of my old Ford trucks and it turned out the be the spring that got stretched. I bought a new spring kit from
Amazon Amazon
and it worked. One thing to check is the flange on the condenser side if it's not bent or out of shape. The flange should be about flush flat so the spring can LOCK the line onto it. Also, the orings can't be too thick or they will make it very hard to insert the line and lube them with refrigerant oil before inserting to avoid damage.

Comparing lines is a hit difficult because it stretches from the expansion valve, across the firewall, then down towards the condenser, hard to tell the length ya know? Aside from that, i didnt know they made spring lock kits, ill check that out for sure, i saw the 601 on conceptz but i cant tell if its long enough, my line is a hard line all the way through, no rubber section, ill try to find a spring lock kit, double check my flange and go from there, ill post back once i have, preciate the responses man

Ordered the kit you linked, im assuming even tho it says ford, the ac line and by association the spring locks are standard sizes? As in 3/8ths ac line may take a 3/8ths spring lock kinda deal? Hard to explain, but toyota, nissan and chevy may use a certain size right? Sorry i cannot for the life of me think how to explain this lmao. But its ordered, time shall tell, ill replace the o-rings for shts and gigs, lube em, double check the flange and install a new lock

Try it, you just might get lucky. If not, then remove the whole line, find a HVAC shop and see if they can make you a new line. You only need the end fittings to be solid, the rest can be ruber high press line.
I remember few years ago i had a F250 super booty and it had springlocks by the evap core and one of the new lines that i was replacing had the end fitting slightly bent oval and it wouldn't fit so i gently squeezed it back to round using cheap pliers and gently filed it smooth. It did fit and the spring locked, the AC worked fine for years.

so uh, went to pop the new spring lock in, pulled on the line and it cracked, tried to alumiweld it, now i have two line instead of one lmfao. Man this sucks. Gonna try to get an ac compression fitting. This is WAY too over complicated for what it is lmao

yea, those will split if left in there dry for that long.. Best way would be to use a crack lighter torch to heat up the connection and spray some pb blaster in there so it could be sucked in, then gently wiggle back and forth to get it to turn. Once loose, then try to split it. This is why car makers turned away from that locking system, it was good but not for servicing..
Best solution is two new spring lock fitting and high press rubber ac hose. Parker Goodyear makes those, i had planty made for trucks like Ford Louisville and john deere graders, even older cats. Those are basically push-lock fittings, once you cut to length, then push the line onto the fitting and use provided clamp to 'clamp' it together.

Check out this guys page: Custom AC lines
Here is a link to fittings: SpringLock AC Fittings With these, you'll need to buy regular high press AC hose and visit a hydraulic hose shop to have them crimp it for you.
I also found this on Amayama website and shows in stock.

hell yeah man, i appreciate all the help, imma try these compression fittings and see how they go, gonna heat the line up if it needs to be bent to fit anything. Id probably drop by an a/c shop next if all else comes to fail. Also did you say youre in louisville man? I live in louisville lmao
