Had one of those “G” moments last week. I had been all jammed up in what seemed to be ages of stop and go. So when I finally got my chance, I jumped out at a light and was first down my freeway entrance. The road ahead was clear and familiar so I just stepped on the throttle and started sweeping hard around the clover. Speed was increasing rapidly and the G just leaned into the curve and held on tight. Imagine my surprise to find a “statey” sitting down at the bottom of my ramp, door ajar and the radar gun pointed squarely at..no not me, but the traffic coming past the exit on the freeway side. Hum, let’s see, let off the gas slowly so as to avoid lift throttle over steer and proceed nonchalantly by, careful – don’t trade paint with the trooper.

At least my tires weren’t howling.
