Problem about low-pressure warning light

i just put on new 18' rim and new tire 245/40/18 falken grb
EVERY time, after i drive for 1hr and more, the lowpressure warning light
comes on, BUT when i turn off engine and start again, the light goes off.
it comes on every time after driving for 1hr or more . but restart engine would make it off for a while
i checked the tires pressure and they were fine.
does any one know what's the problem please???
or could it be that bc the tire pressure monitor was for stock tires and rims only, so it won't work right?
anyone helps please, cuz i'm sure the tires are in right pressure ><

Did you change the sensors over when you changed the tires? I am running 30 front and rear on my 2005 X with 245/40 18" Yokohama AVS ES100s. You need to either move the sensors from your OEM wheels or purchase 4 new ones for the new wheels.

Pressure sensors are in the OEM wheels. Swap them over.

Question Me too

I bought a 2nd set of OEM wheels with tires and sensors, and I see the same thing (TPS warning comes on after about 1 hour or so). Stopping / restarting the car also clears it.

If the pressure was actually wrong, I'd think the indicator should come on / back on immediately.

Will too high a pressure activate it? Maybe the tire warming up after driving is doing it? I've checked them, and warm they go to about 37 or 38 lbs.
