Actually, searching is rather simple. I don't see why people can't do their own research and come to their own conclusions as pertains to the direction they wish to take their vehicle and modifying it.

 

Simply b/c when someone asks about something the answer is not "Go search." No more, no less.

 

See that IS the answer. The answer to the question can be found by doing a search. Are you telling me that G-Pimp could not find the answer to his original question by doing a search? Sure he could of.

 

Not saying he couldn't have, but it takes me 3 minutes, tops, to type that full and complete answer and I am sure it only took Ted the same or less and now he has everything he needs to know in far less time than searching would provide for. Now, if he wants to cross reference by searching obviously that would be wise.

 

I understand what you're saying and I agree, BUT eventually won't you tire of answering the same question over and over and over and over again?

Yes I would, but only after the same person asked it, or if someone asked it so recently that the post/thread would be easily seen by even Mr. Magoo...IE, searching should not be necessary ya know. Plus, I don't post that much on here due to other hobbies, etc. Now, if you kept asking me how to get an 04 ZR 900 over 106 mph I would tell you to go search!

I'm afraid I disagree. I respect those who do their own research and then ask clarifying questions much more than those who can't take the time to learn on their own. In that "three minutes" that it takes me to type out an answer the person asking the question can use Google and find a myriad resources to educate themself. I'm not being rude- I'm trying to get people to learn on their own and then ask clarifying questions if they so need. Instant gratification does not promote learning.
