Wash the car well, "over under around and through" (who can tell me where that came from? If you know that one how bout L.S.M.F.T.?) The under carrage to get the road salt and dirt, the body etc. Change the oil just before you store it. You don't want the acids in the old oil eating away at your motor. Disconnect the battery or get a "float charger" for it. This car draws some power off the battery all the time. Clean and contition the leather to leave it nice and soft. If your real ****, block it up to get the tires off the ground. Put on a car cover and kiss her good by.

Don't forget to lock the garage door. You don't want anyone touching your baby while you're gone.

What about fuel stabilizer? I've heard anything longer than 2 months and the gas will start to go bad.

Ideal would be to run the gas out, but, that's not practical. Yes, add a can of "StaBil" to the tank (follow directions on doseage). I have heard that it is best to store the car with a FULL tank because of condensation problems. If you live in Arizona or West Texas, that may not be a prob.

If you can't lift the car then fill the tires to a high PSI to avoid flat spots.

Fuel conditioner isn't necessary. Just put in a fresh full tank of gas. I second the "battery tender" idea. All cars have parasitic draw on the battery, so some type of trickle charger will prevent a drained battery when you get back home. Also, keep a picture of your car in your wallet just in case you get seperation anxiety :P
