Re: 0-60 with mods

I love them both... the completment eachother nicely... The intake is a slight increase in power.. but the exaust is more noticable... and the rpms drop faster now, and the car is just falt out faster... i should have pics of everything by the beginign of next week

Re: 0-60 with mods

I think realisticly your looking at high 5's. Similar to the Coupe's time, maybe a tad quicker due to less weight. If you really want some 0-60 times, get some slicks and launch at 4k.

287 eh, I dunno sound's like your buying into the aftermarket's marketing hype vs the reality of proving things to yourself with your own trip to a dyno. And a visit to your past post's didn't help me figure out why you making such a high claim, I mean I tried.

Re: 0-60 with mods

Someone suggested that we already have the intakes polished or maybe extrude honed. Not sure on that but I think they're quite efficient the way they are.
Anyone know about these intake tracks and how good they already are?

Re: 0-60 with mods

Don't think they are polished. Only someone with a airflow bench and time can tell for sure if the design can be better. At best we have a good compromise. Spoon made a custom intake manifold for there twin turbo 350Z, which I posted the pics in Off Topic.

Gsedan35,
Since you have it, what's your take on the Injen CAI? Worth it?

Gsedan35,

I think it made a slight improvement in power. I don't believe in guessing numbers, but I can tell the differance. The thing I don't see people talk about much is the sound factor. I don't think any true CAI system with a large pipe will be quiet when you push the car. At 3/4 to WOT and past 4K, their's nothing suttle about the beautiful music the Injen makes, man I LOVE hearing the thing. It is very audible outside the car to. If you don't get on the throttle or revs, you'll never hear it however.
In short, I don't question it's effectiness to cost factor in ANY way. And do NOT fear installing it yourself.
