My apologies.

What is this fascination with a bulge? And four bulges at that! I like the gentle crease of our fenders.

How do you figure? They weigh the same and make the same power. The sedan actually has a lower coefficent of drag, and lighter wheel/tires... all things being equal, the coupe is actually slower.

PRE 2005 ( 2003 - 2004.5 ) G35 SEDAN AND COUPE CURB WEIGHT

SEDAN- 3336 lbs
COUPE- 3422 lbs

Can't argue those numbers guys....the coupe is heavier.....but has 20 more hp.....meaning that they are dead even when racing....for all the people that think the coupe is "faster" , they should go race a sedan....im sure many people will be willing to show that their sedans are just as quick....also ive raced many coupes and have NEVER lost....it has always been even.....also for all the JERK coupe owners out there ( very few ) i think they are just jealous that a humble looking sedan can own their "fast looking" coupe....most G35 owners are way kool though....fasho...

See...its less than a 100 lbs

I really don't think the coupe has 20 more horsepower. Probably more like 10 more hp. It does handle slightly better with the lower center of gravity, tighter suspension, and more aggressive tires but suffers from ride compromise (sedan is much better in this respect). I believe if you put the exact same aftermarket parts for the coupe as you do for the sedan, you have the exact same car.

1) The G35 Sedan is actually lower to the ground than the G35 Coupe. It has the same suspension as the coupe that comes with the sport package.
2) The G35 Sedan handles better than the coupe in road tests (of course this was done with the smaller, skinny tires it use to have, now the Sedan has better tires and wheels it might really beat the coupe in handling.

You never take out on your brother or cousin.... Unless you have some serious problems and I think he did.

i would of asked him to do it again at the next light/stop sign(giving clear traffic and no cops around).........good reaction/driver can easlily offset that .1 to .2 difference......after that, i asked him if he has any "grey poupon" just to mess with him.....if he's still around, asked him why he got the slower 2 door....hehe.
off topic, but most coupes stay right in my blind spot and won't get even with me on open streets.....weird.

The G35 sedan still has a higher center of gravity. The sedan is taller. The G35 coupe's fastest slalom speed was 67.7 mph while the sedan did 65.5 mph. This was all pre 05 of course. As I said before, tires play a big part of handling.

True, and if you look on the other tests for the coupe without the 18" wheels, it got worse handling than the Sedan did. Lower slalom speeds.

We need some tests with the new 05 G.
