The cylinder hone marks are alway visible and everything is within spec (compression, bearing wear, valve clearance, etc). These motors really don't wear and seem to get stronger with age. I know 3.0 VQ got stronger.

Switching oils and tracking UOAs is more of a hobby to me. I intend to keep and use the G well beyond 200K... so I thought it would be interesting to have measurements (UOAs) done along the way. I don't smoke, drink or party anymore (a wife and kids will do this to you) so $20 every 4K miles or so is a pretty cheap hobby.
