Some rich kid in his S4 tried to take me on the coast this afternoon. For those who don't know the S4 is an A4 with a 2.7L turbo V6 AWD. He had some sort of exhaust and Axis Se7ens, lowered (probably all Neuspeed). He "tried" but he had no chance. I also had a passenger and my car is a completely stock 6MT with just over 2000 miles, barely broken in. Oh well better luck next time. I can't wait to start building my ride.

Actually the S-4 is the one with Bi-Turbo's V-6 with Twin turbos to us Americans. It was rated at only 250Bhp. I think that absolutly Sucks! Beware of the New S-4 coming out this Summer it has Shoehorned in A V-8 putting out 330 Bhp It is designed by Audi to Go heads up with the M-3 That much power with allwheel drive Whew........

there is no way you could have taken him....unless he was a horribel driver.....which is proably true, ive seen s4s run first hand 0-60 in low 5s like 5.3 o 5.2 when its just chiped (200bucks)

 

stock S4's run 14.0-14.3(friend of mine) most of it has to do with the launch...the S4's are really pigs(3600lbs) and from a roll the G35 might/should be able to take it. Im guessing the G35 has less drivetrain loss(RWD vs AWD). But if the S4 was chipped then the G35 has no chance at all from a roll or a standstill, unless he was a very bad driver.

 

My cousin has a Blue S4 with a chip and rims and man his car is fast as hell, and before he had his chip he was running to 60 in 5.7.

 

Just to let you know I have a friend who runs an Audi/Volkswagen speed shop www.greedspeed.com I realize that the chip does make an impessive improvement on that car and the one I raced obviously was not "chipped".

 

I agree no way in hell you beat an audi S4 that was chipped out.. i love my G dont get me wrong but i respect the s4 more than any other car on the road... Ive personally sat in a friends car that has 400 horsepower... those cars are the ultimate sleepers... with just a chip ur over 300... I once raced that kid and he ripped me apart ... and imean this kid churped in 2nd gear... S4 is def one of my all round favorite tuner cars...

My neighbor has an S4 with the TT 2.7. He wants to run me when my car is FINALLY broken in. I have a coupe 6 speed, so we'll see what happens.

I'm betting he's too distracted by the sweet sounds from my engine to notice he's losing. It'll be close, no matter what.

What RPM does a stock s4 kick in? is there a lot of lag associated with its TT?

 

Nope ... lags are minimal.

I also concur as to the prowess of the S4 TT ... those are indeed the *ultimate* sleepers after one simple chip-mod! The G35 stands absolutely no chance under nearly all conditions vs. a chipped S4 TT. In stock trims, it would be an interesting race w. the coupe, with the outcome likely decided on the driver's skill.

s4(chiped) vs. Coupe???? good race honestly i would have to take the s4 though on the grounds that one can launch at a higher RPM with out the worry of tire spin. Coupe mite spin em' a bit. On the highway however i think the coupe would out sprint it by a marginally difference. In the end displacement of the engine and tourque is were its at
