04 6MT Sedan, front and rear pads were worn down to 1mm at the 30,000 mile service. The dealer repalced the pads and turned the rotors under warranty.
It works on my machine

You should be able to get your brakes done under the premature brake pad warranty since you have less than 36k....just remind the dealership..
Actually I had my front brake pads replaced and front rotors turned at 14k miles about a year ago. And yes although my mileage is not over but it has been three and a half years(it expires by three year after the first in-service day), so I don't think I could get it done for freeOriginally Posted by jschulz

Had front pads/rotors and rear pads only replaced for the first time under warranty at 31,500 on my late 04 sedan. Supposedly the fronts had over 50% pad left and the rears had 75% left. But I have a long road trip coming up and wanted them changed out without risk of going over 36K miles. Front rotors were only slightly dished. Rears still looked pristine. So compared to most, I guess I was getting real good wear. I drive about 50 miles a day, with 44 miles of that being freeway miles. They said when I get back they'll replace the rear rotors for free if needed.

I'm at 13000 miles and my squeek indicator has started to go off. Called my dealer and they only replace if there is 2mm or less of meat on the pads.

Brake Pads replaced under warranty!!!!
I did not you could do that? Isn't this considered to be a wear and tire item?
I replaced my pads myself at 36K with Ferodo. The OEM still had lots of life but I didn't like the way it was holding

The wear greatly depends upon which brakes you have. I have an 03 6MT coupe, and I'm still on my first set of Brembo's at ~41K miles. My wife had an 03 5AT coupe (OEM), and she had to replace hers at 15K. Seems like the non-Brembos are just really soft. I'm sticking with my Brembo's since they've been great so far, but if you have the OEM ones you might want to think about changing to somebody else.Originally Posted by ABQ_G35
I don't understand how the majority of '03-'04 owners have been getting 15-17k out of brakes, then someone posts like above, 60% left at 17k, 28k still on original brakes, do these people never stop, or are they only driving total highway miles? On my '04, at 15k, my fronts were down to just under 3mm, so they were replaced, and it's not my driving, I have always gotten a minimum of 40 out of front brakes on every disc brake vehicle I have owned. BTW, glad I got the '05, no black wheels even after two weeks!

It will. 22k on mine, I still have over 50% pad left on both front and rear. I also autox every month and road race at drivers edge.Originally Posted by MrBig

Around 27,500 miles so far on my 03 G35 sedan. Replace front rotors once and front pads twice. Don't remember about the rear ones.

How long are the brakes suppose to last on these cars? Mine have 24k and I think my rotors are starting to warp.
