Borla Exhaust Rattling

I have an 05 6MT, the dealer installed the Borla before I bought the car. I love it except for the rattling when cold and starting off. Anyone solved this yet? Let me know...

I welded my borla on, no more rattles. Or you could check the clamps for tightness.

I've had the Borla for well over a year and I've never had any rattling. It is not welded either.

No rattles on mine. Mine in not welded. What are the pros and cons of welding? I kept my old factory exhaust just in case the next guy who buys it does like the low rpm drone.

Check the mounting brackets and make sure the bolts haven’t rattled loose... My Stillen started rattling about a week after install... turns out they forgot to use lock-tight on a couple of mount bolts... After lock tight and tightening down the bolts it hasn’t rattled since.

I don't believe it's necessary to weld the Borla. It was designed as a bolt-on exhaust.

One of the pipes coming off the driver side Cat is right up against a transmission mount. No space in between at all. Every time the motor flexes on the mounts, the pipe bangs into the trans mount...

Looks like all it needs is a adjustment. It is at the dealer now to see what they can do with it.
