Philly Area Dealers

FYI - Ardmore and West Chester are both owned by the same family. The West Chester dealership is a lot bigger than Ardmore. Bought my 05 35x a couple months ago at West Chester for $200 over invoice.

Speaking quite frankly, Ardmore and WC were both ****** when it came to negotiating pricing for the car. I told them that WG was giving it to me at invoice and their response, "Good luck with the car".

Well this would be our second car that we bought from Willow Grove Infiniti and I am pretty much happy with the price that I got because it was the best around when Topher and I were searching and both of us will be picking up our cars on the 27th hopefully. What dealer gave you a better price quote because I'm really interested to know who actually went under? I didn't wanna have to drive so far to get my car.

What the hell are you talking about? Edmunds TMV has this car selling for $1000 OVER invoice?

i just signed on a lease of an 05 g35x, according to edmunds, the invoice was 32,100 for my car, using the infiniti website's lease calculator, the purchase price that would make the monthly payment same as mine is 31,000. Which leads me to believe that I got 1100 under invoice. But then again, like others have said, I traded my car in so they know they are going to make money there.

Your trade, not to mention you are leasing. They probably got you on the residual.

My boss just leased an RL and the purchase price was $42000. Invoice is 44,300. But they nailed him on the residual value.

Invoice goes out the window on a lease. They are making money on your lease, and they are making money on the car when it comes back, not to mention you think you are getting a deal so it's even easier for them to make it!

What exactly do you mean they nailed him on the residual? How do they “get you” on the residual? I was told that the residual is based on a percentage of the MSRP setup by the leasing company and that it was a not negotiable. Anyway lets say that they jack the residual price way up so that your monthly payments come down. Well you can just turn the car back into them at the end of the lease and the residual really would not matter then would it? Basically I never keep a car long enough for it to be worth me trying to buy it. Plus it is becoming so hard to actually sell a used car without taking a huge hit Leasing just seems like a great option now if you don’t drive very many miles.

What are the terms of your lease? What was the actual selling price that you settled on? What was the residual value of your car? How many months was it for?

I am returning the car after the lease ends. I will never buy the car so I dont care about the residual value.

Its a 39 month lease. 15k miles. I don't know what the residual value since I told him I could care less. I just told him what I want to spend a month and kept saying no and getting up until he gave me my price. According to my monthly payment and down payment, it seems like the purchase price was 31,000. I dont know for sure as all I kept saying whats this is all im paying per month, unless i get that price, I am not getting the car.

What does purchase price mean if you are on a lease, you're not buying the car?

I purchased my '04 from WC last year, and more important than a lousy $100 on a $35,000 item is the service they provide. I get a a loaner for all service visits, warrany or no, no ?'s asked, don't even have to replace the used fuel. Anytime I have requested specific items in lieu of a 7,500 or 15,000 mile service, it has been done. They replaced my brakes under warranty w/o my asking.

Why beat yourself up over such a piddling amount? Look forward to what you will spend IN TOTAL to operate this vehicle, and a few hundred dollars quickly becomes a paltry sum. If you want the car, buy it and enjoy it instead of agonizing over crapola.
