Window Tinting

Window Tinting
Infiniti of Memphis uses a shop near by to do their window tinting, clearbras, and other stuff. I called and got a ~$175 plus tax pricing for all 7 windows. I planned on getting it done 35% around. They told me they used Becker(maybe, the spelling is incorrect) which is a metallic film. Anyone have comments on this film and pricing. Is it cheap because of the film or just cheap work? They do work for lexus, infiniti, and other high end car in memphis I believed.

I have never heard of becker tint. I googled the name and it didn't come up with any hits.
One of my concerns is find a tinter that can apply it to the rear window defroster/ antenna well enough to reduce the dazzel effect. I had this problem on my LS that other folks said they didn't have. The lights of cars would refract just a little in the areas where the tint went over the defroster and it made it difficult to see sometimes.

Yes, I never heard of this name as well. However, they said it comes with a lifetime warranty. They said they have Llumar in bronze. Maybe, they can order a color to match my serengeti sand color with Llumar. Is gray a good match or bronze? Yes, I have that dazzle effects on my old maxima. Any tips for me to look for when I look at their work?

A good friend from my old car club son does window tinting so I am going to call him and find out the 411. I will call him tomorrow so if you are in no rush I will get back to you tomorrow.

Thx. I'm going to go check out the shop tomorrow. I'm been reading the forum about the dot matrix problem. I'm going to ask about that and about if they are going to remove the brake lights or cut around it. I guess, asking them to becareful when using the heat guns close to the vinyl molding as well.

After visiting the shop today, I planned on getting the Solar Guard HP True Gray @38%. They said, they used a special solution around the dot matrix, and can either do the rear windshield with or without the brake light cut. I think getting without the cut looks better. Any opinion? Also, is the solar guard brand any good? Btw, I made sure with them that everything is done without removal of panels or the rear brakelights. After checking them out on the bbb.org and other dealership, I'm going to give it a shot and see.
