used a beige/tan color on the inside plastic pillar between the front and rear side windows regardless of the color of the car and to top it off it does not match the color of the headliner. I got a real sinking feeling when I first saw my new G with the DG exterior and saw that eyesore. At least have this color match the headliner. What was Infiniti thinking with the one non matching color fits all mentality?

My second choice is for those with XM, and maybe Sirius, the number 1-6 of the preset that is currently playing that appears on the screen above the 10 digit artist name is so ridiculously small and really requires one to squint to see which preset is on and therefore know which station is playing (so you know whether to hit the station changer on the steering wheel up or down). Squinting to see is just dangerous so Infiniti should have made the number in the circle on the screen a little larger. What was Infiniti thinking when they designed that little ditti?

What was Infiniti thinking with the rocks and streams commercials in 1989? They are still trying to live that one down.

What was Infiniti thinking when it...

1) Put a POS like that hard-to-read-at-night clock in a $35K car?

2) Put cheapo plastic "titanium tint" painted trim pieces in a $35K car?

3) Put Goodyear RS-A's on a $35K car.

Other than those things...I love my car!!

Put in a radio headunit that doesn't have a scroll capability.....

Removed the option of lowering the backseats (you could still have the reclining seats - they are a manual recline after all!).......

When playing mp3 cd's at random, there is no way to skip to the next song. You can move up and down folders, which causes random mode to stop or move to next song in folder. I have not played any other cd's yet so maybe it's just a minor mp3 thing. It annoys the hell out of me, though.

I also find it strange that there is an AC button but it doesn't turn on the AC. If you want to turn on the AC, you have to hit the auto/econ button. Yeah, that makes sense.

...they put in a hacked together Nav system without voice or touch and made it difficult to go aftermarket by requiring you to buy new a/c controls inorder to go double din!

Well, those two things have changed on the '05, the trim is real brushed aluminum and the clock is much better, so they probably thought the same thing.

My main thought was what were they thinking with the fast wearing, grabby brakes on the '03-'04.............

Take a look at some (not all) BMWs and Benz's. They also have the beige (or gray) headliner even if the rest of the interior is black. It's supposed to make it feel less enclosing.
