I've search this forum and have not been able to find a definitive answer to this question - can an aftermarket EQ be installed between the Head unit and the BOSE amp to improve sound quality - or is the AMP doing the active equalization in this instance...?

If so, what EQ would be recommended..?

 

i have pre-amp 7band eq w/front,rear and sub out patched inline after ther oem radio unit...it can be done with the oem amp, but i decided to replace that because of the two 12" subs that was going in the trunk....
there's a great diy in the audio/video section.......

the $60 preamp 7band eq was off ebay, any eq of your choice should be fine......remember the key word,,,,,preamp..

Do you have a link to this - cannot seem to perform a successful search to find it.

 

the answer to your many questions to come............see below.......the sound quality after the eq, amp and subs were night and day.......if you're gonna do it yourself, make sure you have all the necc tools and lots of time on your hand......
