Spoiler or Not?
Re: Spoiler or Not?
I have one.
Probably because there's two ways to get it.
1) With the $2,000 ground-effects body kit, and most people feel that's too expensive for eye candy.
2) With the Aero Package (which provides the slightly lower drag coefficient and zero rear lift), but this requires the sport-tuned suspension, and maybe they didn't want that (either for the harsher ride or the questionably aesthetic titanium interior trim).
Disclaimer: I actually like the titanium trim.

Re: Spoiler or Not?
#2 is exactly why we didn't go for the spoiler. I wouldn't have minded everything in that package, but the spoiler ruined the package in my opinion. Keeping the wood trim was also for keeping the car looking more luxurious over sport.
I ended up getting lower suspension so that was not the concern.

It's still a G thang!!

Re: Spoiler or Not?
Most all Gs I see in Houston have the spoiler.
Mine does not have one. Planning on adding
one next month for my birthday present to myself!
God I love this car!

Rumble - is that your car in the pic....great look and a spoiler would spoil it for sure - too sleek for that thing - which i have - can you remove and fill holes for less than 200 bucks. It cant make a difference in a big way performance wise..
Re: Spoiler or Not?
I'm actually surprised that there are so many people that like their G's with the spoiler. I think it really takes away from the look of the car....messes with the artwork almost. Now, thats for the Coupe. The Sedan on the other hand DESPERATELY needs a spoiler to take attention away from the back end. Just my 2 cents....probably not even worth that much.

I never clued in to the fact that the only way you could get the spoiler from the factory is to have the sport suspension. Kind of ironic to me that some people avoid the sport suspension on a sporting car. The sport suspension actually isn't "sport" enough for me. I added the factory spoiler, first spoiler I have ever done to a car of mine.

Gsedan35: You can get the spoiler from the factory w/o the sport suspension.. but you have to buy the $2000 package that includes the body-color side-skirts all the way around the bottom of the car.

Just to clarify...
You can actually get the spoiler from the deailer for about $300 installed without the sport or any other packages. I personally think the sedan looks hot with the spoiler but didn't really need the sport package. So all I got was leather, sunroof and a spoiler, no other options.
2003.5 / Black/ Willow/ Spoiler/ Sunroof/ ....and nothing more

Re: Spoiler or Not?
I have the sport package on my sedan, and I love the spoiler. I am happy with the suspension but it took me a little while to get used to feeling every bit of the road. IMO the spoiler really adds to the overall look of the car.
I agree that the couple probably looks better without the spoiler.

Re: Spoiler or Not?
I agree... The sedan looks nicer with the spoiler, while the coup looks less "sporty" with it. Amazing how one accessory can make such a difference.
I think certain colors also look better/worse with a spoiler.
On black, for example, it can look sleek, while on Twilight Blue can make it look like a toy... anyone else get this feeling?
