Re: how much are you guys paying for insurance?

I was blown away when my latest premium came. They jacked up the insurance on my G35 sedan by $600. When I called them (USAA) they said it was now classified as a "high performance" vehicle. My insurance is now $2100!!

You must have some teenagers in the family with access
to the G. I have USAA also. My premiums rose $18/month
when my 1993 Nissan Altima was totaled and replaced
with the G35. I'm in the safe age bracket (but drive like
a bat outta hell) with no driving age children.

God I love this car!

22 year-old male, more than a ticket or two...$1200/yr
We considered putting it in one of my parents' names in order to cut it back a little, however I was pleasantly surprised with my rate...

Can't wait til I hit 25...

I'm USAA as well. I have two cars on the policy. My G35 accounts for $330 of that premium every six months. So, to answer your question... $666 per year

$2265 per year in Philadelphia. Limited tort, 100,000/300,000; $500 deductibles. Mother of 2, clean driving record, no other drivers in my house, garage kept. That's life in the city.

Re: how much are you guys paying for insurance?

Guys and gals! Move AWAY from Jersey and out of the city!!! That's crazy high!!! I got a quote from my insurance company, when I get my 04 6MT Sedan, I'll be paying $630 / 6 months! I guess I'm lucky or living in the burbs (North Wales, PA: 30 miles NW of Philadelphia) is much much cheaper.

I got quoted by State Farm btw.

Re: how much are you guys paying for insurance?

New G35 owner in Central NJ, went from a 2000 Maxima SE to 2003.5 G35 my insurance premium went up 33%! I am 32 yrs old and no tickets in 10+ yrs (very lucky!)
.
Increase due to the fact that I went from a $26K to a $34K car, and the fact that it id considered a sports sedan vs family ssedan.

Still would do it in a heart beat... this car is awesome!

I am still in break-in period so I have not tested it out fully... but I did test out the loaner I received for a TSB problem I had with mine.
