Remote window open (doesn't work?)
This morning I decided to test the automatic window opening using the remote for the first time. I held the unlock button on the remote for about 5 seconds - the driver's window came down 4 inches, then nothing. I held it down again. The rest of the windows came down about 4 inches and the driver's went down another 4 inches (almost all the way down, but not quite), then nothing. After that I wasn't able to get them to go up or down. So I got in the car and turn the ignition key to the ON position (engine not started) and I was unable to move the windows up or down. I had to actually start the engine up before I could close my windows. Whaddup with that??? Any help greatly appreciated. I'm due for my 11,250 mile checkup next week and want to have this addressed.

Mine works fine and it's one of my favorite features. Unfortunately, in an unrelated matter, my rear window doesn't open now. *sigh*

Re: Remote window open (doesn't work?)
I figured out what I was doing wrong. I guess I hit the unlock button twice - first to unlock the doors, and then again to roll down the windows. This leads to strange results. If I just press the button once, and hold it down, everything works as advertised. Thanks for all the help.

One thing I've found is that how long you hold it the second time affects how far down the windows roll. When they start to roll down, keep holding it and if you hold it long enough they'll roll all the way down. You probably let up as soon as they started to roll down, which caused them to stop.

That's right. This feature is not like the "auto down" when you
push the inside window switch. They start going down after
a few seconds and will go all the way if you continue to
hold the unlock button. If you release during the window
travel, the window stops.
