Cold weather affects fuel gauge?

zorrodpr - Thanks for your feedback as well...I've never heard of a "fuel sender" until I started this thread
. I'll definitely have them fix it when I'm there again....until then, I'm trying the battery disconnect to see if it'll give it a temporary fix. Funny thing is, I went to fill it to the top after work today (as suggested above, before disconnecting the battery)...it was mild today and was 45 degrees (well, mild for the N.E. in winter anyways), and after filling up, the needle went back above the line. Either way, I'll have them fix it. Thanks again.
