This place sucks. I ordered a battery from them....had to chase them down to get a tracking number for it. Went to put it in and it was as dead as disco. Read 9 volts, no where near enough to start my coupe.

They gave me some BS about how they are too busy to test every battery they send out. I sent it back to them over a week ago and I am still chasing them around for a credit for the thing. Blah!

They were pretty good to me except for the extra battery tray thing they forgot. The battery sat around my garage for like a month. But I actually took a voltmeter to it before installing. Showed like 12.5 volts. You should always make sure it's charged for installing. It's a pain in the G. Since it's a deep cycle, I would have just put it on a charger to see what happened.

Not sure if anyone has said this on here but FYI, I just spoke to one of my good friends who is an optima sales guy and he said get the red top 34R. If you are going to sit for long amounts of time with the car off then go for the yellow. The reds have 2 years longer warranty and more CCA for less $. He's getting me a 34R red top.

I did get a 34R. He got it to me for $130 which was very nice.

It went right in but I also do not use the hold down anymore because of some other stuff I have in there. My stereo sounds quite a bit better too.

Great price! I trying to find one locally, but the best I can do is $179. I'll keep searching...Thanks!

Thanks for your help. I couldn't find one around town. Costco didn't have the right one. I needed one ASAP, so I bought an Interstate Mega-Tron Plus at a local shop.

FYI-At least on the 2003 models...I unhooked my battery and removed it. It is a pretty tight fit. Then when I went to get the new battery out of the trunk, I couldn't open the trunk! The button on the "doggie door" is electronic! I really didn't want to hook up the battery again, so I thought jumper cables. But the jumper cables were also in the trunk. After a while I remembered the pass through from the back seat. I was able to reach my jumper cables. Other than that, everything went smoothly!!!

If your doing a big audio/video install I would reccomend Kinetic batteries. They are hands down the best batteries on the market for car audio. They are known as the "cap killers" because of there power. Just my .02

lol!! thats hilarious - the same thing happened to me once (well...more than once ) and I found myself reaching through that tiny ski hole in order to pull the trunk release.

red top 35 went in in like 30 seconds. it seemed a bit low and a bit thin for perfect fitment. I put a plastic wedge between the battery and the battery brace so the brace does not scartch the battery

I apologize in advance for bringing up this thread from the grave, but I just put in a red top 35 in a 2003 G35 sedan.

The fitment is perfect with the included bracket that lifts the battery up 1 inch so the brace fits nice and snug.

For all you San Diego G35'ers, I bought my red top from Batteries Plus by the airport on Rosecrans. They have a lot of Optimas in stock, including yellow tops. They definitely know their stuff because they told me even before I asked them that I will need to use the bracket to lift the battery up an inch to fit G35s.

They also sold it to me for 139.99+tax, which is a great deal considering places like Sears and AutoZone are charging 159.99 and 179.99, respectively, with a 1 week ordering time.
