Dazzling effect from lights viewed through the rear tinted window

I just got my car tinted last week with Madico Charcool 55% all around. Is it normal to view a dazzling effect when headlights are shined through the rear window and viewed through the rear view mirror? I suppose the light is reflecting off of the defroster lines, but is it normal effect on all sedans with the rear window tinted?

as the tint dries, it gets better, but you will always have this

Is there supposed to be a gap between the defroster line and the tint material? Should I leave the car in the sun to dry or turn on the defroster to help the tint cure? It has been parked in my garage since the tint installation and have not driven it. By the way, I got the tint done at The Preferred Image after reading the post by abcdang a couple of months ago.

I wanted a more uniform look, so I went with 55% all around. I also have a black interior so it looks darker. Does the shade of tint affect the dazzling effect? Will a darker shade have less distortion?

i have one step up from limo in the back and I really like the way it eliminates the blinding effect of headlights from behind me. As for the dazzling effect I honestly don't know wtf you are talking about, i've never had that particular problem.

At night, I notice that the light from headlights will reflect off of the defroster lines. Therefore, I see a halogram of the headlights.

i have that same issue on mine. The defroster lines seems to be a little more shiney. You just get used to it after awhile. I also when with 35% all around which is not too dark but just enough.

Mine is the same and really bugs me. When there is a lot of cars behind me at night, the rear window is pretty much useless. The tint job looks good and was done by dealer before I bought the car. You cannot run tint over the defroster lines or it will burn or something so that's just how it is.

I have the same thing, and my tint has been on for about 9 months. Take a look around the next time you're in a parking lot; you'll notice that every other tinted vehicle has the same problem. The gaps will be apparent, especially around the little "spots" on the edge of most car windows, and of course around the defrosters.

20% here and don't have any issues of special effects or distorted views at all. That would drive me crazy........
