she walks like a bearded rainbow..

ive been in a 04 g35x for 21 months. spent thousands on exhaust and intake mods and only saw 231whp. after i spending all that money i realized i was in the wrong car, i needed a rwd manual. then this 298hp model came out and all i wanted was to get rid of my car.

well today that happen. i got a pretty sick deal. for only 2500 dollars down and increase of only 20 dollars a month on the lease i was able to get in a brand new sedan 6mt. diamond graphite, black interior, no spoiler. just ****ing beautiful.

ill try to get a pic up tomorrow....of course thats after i swap in my z tube

Congrats...you going to take it out during the snow storm tommorrow? Snow tires?

I was in your same boat a while back. Kinda realized I am in the wrong car (craving for M/T) too but I don't want to rush into trading my car. Just want to wait for the new G and see what's in store down the road. I'll keep my G until I see something I'll fall in love with at 1st sight (next time) .

Interesting....are you more concerned about WHP #'s or acceleration/agility? I guess the biggest benefit is the new Rev-up motor and you can at least apply the MREV mod to your new car. Good luck with it! Yeah....what kind of tires are they putting on the new '06 RWD's?

BTW...great choice in color combo .

Is your car modded or an automatic? I would think a 6spd could nudge out an 03 auto, though it may come down to the driver. I'm sure a stock 05 is no slower than a stock 03.

Well, he's coming from an X, which is slower than the RWD, regardless of 6MT or 5AT. Not trying to hurt anyone's feelings; it's just a fact of drivetrain and weight.

Now, when you say you've raced, what were the conditions? I still don't think that the 03/04's are as quick generally as the 05's. Two reasons: at a dyno day, my 05 revup, stock, made more power than any other NA g there, except for an 03 6MT coupe(his peak hp beat mine by less than 1hp), and he had big dollars in NA mods. The second reason is that the first time we went to the track, my best time was 3 tenths faster than the next g. Again, bone stock, my first time at the track(ever, in any car), and I had only been driving a stick for about a month.

I'm not ******* the 03/04's. We have one. But my personal experience seems to contradict what most people on here post.

Yeah, I'm having the rock dings and chips fixed after the Bull Run this month. I'm going to have him fill the holes and respray the whole front. I'll then order one of those LP mounts that fits in the Tow hook hole.

Anyone got a link to it?
