Pictures of the Z Tube
Hi guys
I just came back from vacation and got my 350Z tube from someone on my350Z.com.
I paid $55 (S&H included) and he gave me the whole intake including the stock filter.
The problem is I don't know which parts to install. I need some pictures and some instructions. He even gave me the airbox.
Any help appreciated!!!

Here's a picture of the famous 350Z Air Duct.
You might try a search for more information.

If you do a search, there are some good posts with documentation on how to install the tube. Some even have pics. It's way simple - just unbolt the existing inlet tube where it mounts to the plenum. Then, loosen the clamps at either end of the existing tube. Work the tube away from the manifold and off the intake box. Once the 2 ends are free, there's a hose connected to the bottom of the tube - you'll need some plyers (or strong fingers) to loosen the hose clamp from the inlet body. Then you just pull it out. Installation of the new tube goes in the opposite order - connect the host to the underside of the tube, wrestle the end of the new tube onto the intake box and then onto the manifold. Tighten your clamps at either end and bold it to the plenum - all set.

The way this particular clamp works, there are 2 tabs you squeeze together with plyers/fingers. This loosens the clamp. I just backed it further up the hose and free'd up the end from where it connects to the tube - couldn't be simpler!

Thanks a lot man. I just did it but the air box side seems like it doesn't fir PERFECTLY. It is close though so I just screwed everything back on and wait for a later test drive.

Yeah - the airbox end of my tube didn't want to fully mate with the airbox. I did a little grunting and pushing and was able to work the flexible part up far enough that I was comfortable with it. I don't think it's a big deal at all so long as its on there snug. Enjoy!

Holy........ I wasn't fully aware of the sound in city driving when I was in auto mode. As soon as I use the manual mode and rev it up to 4k, the deep sounds comes in. I am crazy about it. The tube gives some more power but over all it makes the car SMOOTHER than before under acceleration. I really like it. I guess Cusco sway bars are up next on my list.
