I got mine from Grubbs and it doesn't fit Well, it fits but the ridge for the rubber is too high and the hood doesn't close right.

Update: I searched and found that some take a lot of trimming. That's what I did and now it fits. I'll post some pics of what I trimmed. Basically, the ridge part I thought the rubber gasket went on is really the mark for trimming back to. It fits inside the metal frame... plus I drill one hole (pointing to it) Here's some pics

 

I got mine yesterday from Grubbs and installed it last night. The instructions suck! There are no pictures of where to locate come of the grounding points, just directions like "the middle of the timing chain cover" or "through the grommet to the battery location". How hard is it to include a couple of pictures with instructions. I got through it but could have save about half an hour if there were better instructions. On a positive note, the wires are high quality and I had no problems with fitment. Install took about an hour.

I'm just messin with ya, the wires are for the grounding kit.

Probably meant "right side drive"... since it's a JDM part for right side driver cars.

 

I tried doing the same thing and the fit was still tight so i just cut more off.. including the raised ridge (its' gone now)...

 

i got mime over a year ago..... dresses up the engine nicely!

 

A nicely laid out engine bay is very attractive, and the hood lifts are very handy if you're under the hood a lot.

What do you mean "eliminate hinges"? There still has to be a hinge, just not s spring loaded one like old cars had.
