Not me! I would be driving a 2006 3 series now instead of waiting for the 07 G if I wanted one. For family reasons I need room in the rear passenger area and the 3 series does not have it. Also, the rear doors do not open as wide.

Every product is supposed to fit a unique need. The 2007 BMW 335i doesn't fit any of my unique needs. I need AWD, roominess, performance, styling, gadgets, reliability, build quality, and value in a car. The 2007 Infiniti G35x AWD is one of the few vehicles that fits all of my unique needs. The 2007 BMW 335i isn't. But then again everyone has different unique needs, but for me, definitely the 2007 Infiniti G35 over the 2007 BMW 335i all day, everyday ( even if the 2007 BMW 335i was cheaper than the 2007 Infiniti G35 )!

+1 Now if only it would come out already. I don't know why I'm scared to put down a deposit for an order, but I am, so I hope that a local dealer has what I want when it's released.

I just keep telling myself.....one and half months to go!! Needless to say that I will be VERY excited to get the call from my dealer saying it IS IN, and to make the 4 hour trek to go pick it up!

That's easy for you to say. I still have to wait until December in hopes of getting a better deal. I refuse to pay close to MSRP! But if November comes and I can't wait anymore ... Screw waiting until December in hopes of getting a better deal.

Recent Automobile magazine has tested TWICE that new 335i puts as much as 300hp to the WHEEL, which means that thing has actual hp near 350hp.

Obviously we all like G35 since we are in this forum often, but let's not kid ourselves that we will buy G35 over 335i if they are same price.

Would you buy a stock at 9:30 am EST, or at 3:59 pm? Or sell one? Generally no, because that would be speculation. You may hit it right, or wrong, but either way, it was a "play."

imho there is great downside and little upside to placing a deposit on a car that a dealer does not have. If your agreed-upon price just so happens to be the market price when the cars arrive, that's coincidence. It's more likely you pay more that you have to.

If you're looking for an E55 AMG, good luck trying to get it without paying months in advance and at a premium. But you don't even have to do that on a 3 Series, why would you have to do that on a G35? Just my .02, others feel differently for their own reasons.

I noticed that the 2007 G35 ad insert in the new C&D mentions a release of "early November". While that sets no definite date, I like the word "early". You might be able to shave a few days off that counter Shane!

Where did you see that, Curry Man? Has anyone actually received a "brochure" after signing up on the G35 mini-site? The only tangible material I got was four luscious photo postcards from one of the dealers I contacted.

This is in the November 2006 issue of Car & Driver (w/ the Mazdaspeed 3 on the cover). It's a 2-page spread (pages 32 & 33) with "Stop" written in huge letters...blueish ad. The last line of the ad says "Available early November" while the attached postcard says "To find out more about the all-new G before the launch in early November..."

I did receive some mail from Infiniti after signing up on the mini-site. It contained a letter, small pamphlet and some picture/photo postcards.

Maybe there's where I got my postcards from, too. I spoke with a sales guy at my local dealership, and he said they might get one G35 earler sometime in Oct, for training purposes. Maybe I'll drop by for a quick visit.

I think a test drive of both cars would be needed in order for a decision to be made by me!

but as of now, if price were not a factor, i would get the 335i, because they are both great cars, but I think BMW is a ted more classy. Now of course if price is a factor, G35 ALL THE WAYYY!
