Every product is supposed to fit a unique need. The 2007 BMW 335i doesn't fit any of my unique needs. I need AWD, roominess, performance, styling, gadgets, reliability, build quality, and value in a car. The 2007 Infiniti G35x AWD is one of the few vehicles that fits all of my unique needs. The 2007 BMW 335i isn't. But then again everyone has different unique needs, but for me, definitely the 2007 Infiniti G35 over the 2007 BMW 335i all day, everyday ( even if the 2007 BMW 335i was cheaper than the 2007 Infiniti G35 )!

Recent Automobile magazine has tested TWICE that new 335i puts as much as 300hp to the WHEEL, which means that thing has actual hp near 350hp.
Obviously we all like G35 since we are in this forum often, but let's not kid ourselves that we will buy G35 over 335i if they are same price.

imho there is great downside and little upside to placing a deposit on a car that a dealer does not have. If your agreed-upon price just so happens to be the market price when the cars arrive, that's coincidence. It's more likely you pay more that you have to.
If you're looking for an E55 AMG, good luck trying to get it without paying months in advance and at a premium. But you don't even have to do that on a 3 Series, why would you have to do that on a G35? Just my .02, others feel differently for their own reasons.

I did receive some mail from Infiniti after signing up on the mini-site. It contained a letter, small pamphlet and some picture/photo postcards.
