LOL, nothing like a good Maritime brew. I am a Keiths IPA guy myself.....although Moosehead Pale Ale is damn good too.

Nice Slick. You sort of got me.

I contacted the Vancouver Port Authority this morning and they told me that cars are not unloaded at Port Vancouver, but rather at the Annacis Auto Terminals on the Fraser River. According to them there was a 1 day labour dispute at the Fraser River Port, but it should not have any impact on unloading or delivery of the cars.

Seriously? So there will be no delay as far as delivery of the cars?? Please tell me I am understanding this correctly.

I am still waiting to hear back from the Fraser River Port Authority to know for sure, but as far as I know there is no labour dispute that should cause any delay. IMO, I think infiniti is just making an excuse and looking for someone else to blame for the delivery being behind schedule.

I was starting to wonder about the "strike" myself. Out of idle curiousity, I checked CBC news and the Vancouver Sun/Province web sites - not a single word about a dockworkers strike. One would think that a strike closing down activity at Canada's major western port would be big news ...

Exactly. I have also checked multiple sources on the internet and never found ONE single thing regarding this strike in Vancouver. I thought that was very odd to say the least.

I did that too the day Mike had mentioned it along with communicating with you. I could not find anything except stuff from way back in July/August. I mentioned this to the sales manager the other night and he didn't say anything back to me.

I think there may be something to that being a cover up for something else.

I wonder whether more of the Canadian allotment of cars were diverted to the US as shipments are really pouring in there and the delivery dates are being stretched out in Canada. I too scoured the net and found no info on a strike...Strange...I have a lease payment on my G35coupe next week for november which means the dealership has $650 less to pay the finance company to by out my lease.....

No, we're not stealing your cars. Honest. Canadian cars are different from U.S. cars, starting but certainly not ending with the metric instrumentation and daylight running lights. The cost of conversion would outweigh any benefit from diverting cars, not to mention the PR disaster for the company when the diversion became public knowledge in Canada. As it surely would.

Sorry DWP, I was just joking!!! I know the conversion alone would be too much. I have been looking at getting a Porsche Caymen for the summer from Atlanta and I will have to pay almost $2000 for the conversion... Still it is almost 20K cheaper than here...

Wow, I guess that's why I was told that my originally ordered Platinum Ice (actually 2nd choice) was delayed. Then I was offered the "supposedly going to be a demo" Blue Onyx (my 1st choice!). Glad that I took up the offer from my brilliant sales guy.

Otherwise I'll still be waiting for it now...

Thanks Jason!
