According to my salesman, Infiniti's ETA to Calgary is two weeks due to the number of cars needing to be shipped. He says it could be shorter but two weeks is realistic. The cars are shipped to Edmonton by rail, unloaded at a compound then trucked to Calgary. After that I guss there will be a fair number of PDIs to be done and I have no idea where I fall in que for inspection. My G should be home by the 20th (if not sooner)!!

Good to hear guys. I suspect that mine won't hit the Maritimes for a few weeks yet. I thinking the end of this month....anything sooner I will consider it a bonus.

Well it sounds like there is still going to be a signiicant delay getting the cars out to the dealers. I guess I will just have to settle in for another wait as the boys load up the cars on the trains...

There are only 28 dealers across Canada...There can't be that many cars in the first shipment in backup at the Auto port. Even if it is 15 cars per dealer in the intitial shipment, that is still only 420 cars which is less than one train load. I work in Oshawa, Ontario where we have the GM plant and they produce over 500 cars per shift and three shifts per day representing 1500 cars per day that are shipped out by train from one factory. I watch them go by on the trains... The total Infiniti allotment should be abe to go out in one day. The remaining cars would likely be from other Japanese, Korean companies...(Honda, Mazda, Toyota, Nissan, Acura, Lexus, Hyundai, Kia, etc., etc.) and obviously the G's would be the first ones out the door

Arun, if mine arrives anytime this month, I will happy. My dealer's initial order was 7 G35s and they only received 3 so far. So it looks like only 4 will be headed to the Maritimes (one being mine of course). When I first ordered mine back in the summer, my salesman was hoping for a October delivery. If I knew that it may be into the month of December before I received my, I may of considered waiting until a spring delivery. Depending on weather, I may not get to drive my G too much when I get it. I won't be putting winter tires on it since I have my QX4 for winter driving.

Come on Shane you will drive it, if it arrives. I'm surprised you don't have snows ready and waiting for it.

Well if our winter here is anything like last year, I will be able to drive it pretty much all winter. When I get mine, I plan on getting the clear bra done as well as tint. I didn't see the point in spending the money on winter tires when I have my truck. If the roads are not clear and dry, than my G will stay in the garage. Besides, I have plenty of other things to buy to get ready for the baby.

Did you just received your VIN? Wired, I got my VIN number the date that I purchase my car, but I still didn't know how far my car made it through the country.

I'm suuure you could still do that Shane.
Your dealer won't mind, he'd be happy to have another car now to sell.

Thats right, I didn't get my VIN until today. So has your car left Vancouver, and it is in transit somewhere?

I don't know whether it is in transit or not. The sales manager doesn't have any additional info yet, he says he will let me know as soon as he has any additional info on the car. I guess I have to wait, no biggy, I have to sell my current car in the meantime. I just hope that I can sell it before I get the G.

Sounds like we are all getting the same story from the dealers. That strike really threw everyone into a loop.

Yeah, I guess that is always an option Ian. I had a buyer for my 03 pretty much lined up, but found out yesterday that he has decided against purchasing my car. I've to go find another buyer for 03 now before the 07 gets here.

That's too bad about yours Shane

FWIW
You might use the delay re-open negotiations.....

The delay caused your deal to fall through.
You will be loosing $ now. yada, yada, yada.....

We'll see what happens I guess. I am placing an ad in a Halifax newspaper either today or tomorrow. The Infiniti brand is not that well known where I live so it would be better to try and sell it down Deane's way.
