can someone tell me if you can do the same shifting as the sport's paddle shifters on the X?

arent there different shift modes on the sport? do these add any benefits that I will be missing?

maybe im making the paddle shifters out to be more than they actually are..

Anyway that is how I see it. I currently drive an A4 and could never go back to a FWD car. Only drove a RWD car once in the rain(rental) and I wanted my A4 back.
What about the seats? The suspension? The wheels? The beefier brakes? The front fascia?

Oh, there is a difference alright...

I never really even looked at the non-AWD G35 because this is a requirement for me. I'd rather drive a base Subaru than a fully loaded G35 without AWD. But that is just me.

Speed its a personal preference thing for people. I would like the fully adjustable seats but I have read a few times that peeps with a bit extra beef on their frames (such as me ) found it didn't fit them right. The X's suspension is still a bit beefier than stock suspension. The brakes on the X will be fine for me, I don't race or track my car. I don't like the appearance of the 18" wheels and I prefer the regular facia. The paddle shifters would be neat to have but you can do the same thing with the stick in manumatic. The main thing though is I just love the AWD capabilities for my particulsr area. The AWD in our present 05 has also saved us from a major accident on one occassion. If I lived in a different region my preferences would be different.

If you need AWD capability, you go with the X. Otherwise pick any of the other models.

So ask yourself that one question ... do you need AWD ? That's all - no confusion
Best answer. KISS method.

get an X...handling is outstanding and driving in snow is like driving in dry conditions...not an exaggeration...with the snow button on, the car feels like a Hummer

Also.... planning to mod?
Especially related to suspension, many more choices for RWD

Go with the X. It will be more sporty for a typical driver.

What do I mean? Unless you're a pro, you would be faster around a track in an X than in a RWD. In fact, given that it's RWD biased, maybe even a pro would be faster around a track.

I just drove the X and let me tell you, it's no buick, the suspension is very firm and body roll is minimal even with the 17's. Put 18's on that and forgetaboutit.

As others have mentioned, even in the winter you will usually be on dry pavement. That's why I'm glad I went with the AWD three years ago - I have a car that will go anywhere on any day of the year, and I don't have to limp through the winter on snow tires, wondering when it will be safe to swap them out each spring. And when the snow does come, it's fun to play World Rally Championship on back roads, or see how fast you can climb that really steep hill.

So true, there is nothing so far available for X suspension mods.

Thanks Wayne, I was actually just reading that thread. Man, that would be awesome if Infiniti put the ATTESA system on the Coupe.

What do i gain from going sport rather than X? 18" wheels? different suspension? different bumper? Do these items make the vehicle dramatically different?

Is the Sport faster than the X?

Can you use the shift **** on the X for the same things the paddles do on the Sport?

Living in Ohio, I know the X is more practical, but Im set on the Sport..
Will winter rims/tires make the the Sport as usable in the winter as the X?

Typically, will both vehicle types hold resale or will one hold better than the other?

Sorry for being sooo confused...Everyone's opinions are welcome..
thanks

I have seen both and I kinda thought the sport look bigger maybe wheels make it look bigger
