In my 2007 G Sedan Brochure one of the colors offered is called Blue Slate. But on Infiniti's web site in building a 2007 G sedan, the Blue Slate color is called Gunmetal Blue. Is this the same color or has Infiniti changed the Blue Slate color to Gunmetal Blue?

Anyone here know the answer to this?

 

I don't know, but that Gunmetal Blue is a great color from the pics I've seen. IMO it would make sense to give it a name other than Slate Blue to keep from confusing it with Lakeshore Slate.

 

AFAIK, Blue Slate is the official color name....not Gunmetal Blue. It's called Blue Onyx here in Canada to make it even more confusing.

 

Oh okay Shane, I didn't realize it was the Blue Onyx, I've become a fan of blue once I saw LS on the lot!

Good idea to avoid confusion with lakeshore*slate*

 

Probably some market research that shows that Americans like the word "gun"

Blue Slate is the color name listed on the stickers I saw on a couple of the new 07 blue G35s. Not sure what will be on the future cars.

Platinum Graphite looks the best...IMO.
