Interesting Christian. Any card reader that I have used do not even need drivers.....so long as you are running XP that is. Hopefully the CF slot in the G doesn't have any maximum size support for CF cards.

Did Christian mean his notebook cardreader?

Ditto. I want to get a CF card but don't want to buy a larger card than necessary as I use Memory Sticks in my camera and have no use for CF cards other than for the G.

Shane, I remember the discussion. It's here:
https://g35driver.com/forums/showpos...1&postcount=12

I still need to check the validity out before buying my CF card since I don't want to drop the $$ for an 8GB CF card, if 2GB is the max usefulness...then I might as well buy multiple 2GB cards.

Edit: damn...late to the party again...

Was this issue ever clarified in terms of limiting the number of files, thus the size of the CF card needed?

I bought a 4gb CF card and tried it out, putting about 2.5 gb of music. I don't think all the files came up on the screen. I'm going to have to check if I'm doing it right, but it seems the number of files is limited.

My notebook has a built in texas instruments SD card reader, and it won't read my 2GB SD card. The same card reader is used in a number of different brands of notebooks. I hope I don't have the same issue in the G.
