Smile Actual Drag slip time for 2007 Camry SE V6

Hi Guys;
I don't want to burst anyone's "bubble" but, the Camry SE V6 is faster than my 2003 G35!

This was stock!
I'll post some more real data (The mags are all over the place) for your information.
Have a great day;

That's pretty impressive for a front wheel drive where traction is an issue, and it's also a tenth or two quicker than I've seen.

It's as fast or faster than most previous gen.G (6mt) sedans we've seen numbers from. However it's still about 4/10ths in the 1/4 slower than the quickest stock Gsedan we've seen which runs in the 13.9's, unless you've seen even faster Camry's.

You're not bursting any bubble of mine.

Hi Rbull;
I meant no disrespect! About wheel spin/hop with this Camry, I am amazed with the Stability/Traction control on this vehicle! I barely notice it front a standing start (no bogging) and NO wheel hop! The Stability control is so much less intrusive than on my G even when I have it shut off.
I never thought that I would be seen driving a Camry BUT this SE, again, for a Family sedan doesn't get much better.
I really want to see Dyno numbers for the new G auto. I had mention the 335i which claims 300 horse but truth will put that vehicle more like 340/350HP at the crank and the 300 HP is most likely at the wheels. I expect the G auto to come in at about 250HP at the wheels.
Talk to everyone later;and have a great day;

I don't know why being similar in a design sense is a bad thing. Infiniti is finally pushing forward with a smart design image; sort of like kidney grills, tri-pointed stars, etc. I think it's smart. Aside from design similarities the old and new G are nothing alike. I can understand it taking a hit for sharing the AT (a mistake, imo), but I I think folks are focusing too much on the design similarities.

Hey no disrespect taken whatsoever. I'm a former pegger myself and know you wouldn't diss a bro. You deserve to love your Camry. It's a much nicer looking and performing car than ever before and would make a great family car. I think those are pretty good estimates for the G and the 335.

I agree. I think it is very smart that Infiniti is shooting for a family resemblance throughout the entire range. All of us can spot a BMW from a 3 series to the sometimes hard to find 6 series. Why? Family resemblance. However, Infiniti was able to design the new G using a more flowing design and a more expressive front end/profile while keeping the car instantly recognizable as a G. That formula has been a success for the 3 series for years on end so Infiniti figured...why not give it a try? I also agree that the sharing of the AT may have been a mistake but I don't think that the 5AT will stay in the sedan for long. Even so...when you pop shifter into DS mode and use the paddles, the building rush of power is bliss. I think there is a little too much nit picking going on from MT and other reviewers. Just my $.02

^couldn't agree more with building a recognizable breed.

On the nick picking it's to be expected on a car of this price and with the expectations built on it, after a slam dunk on the first gen. It's actually a compliment mags/consumers have to work to find fault the same as they do with brands like BMW.
