What car did you come FROM? Upgrade / Downgrade?

Coming from a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT to a 2006 G35 Premium C + Navigation (used, but low miles). I was actually waiting some time for the Pontiac G8 to come out. But I have always loved the look of the G35. While the G8 seemed nice in the Specs, it felt cheap. And then very cheap compared to the Infiniti. I have had the car for a day. I LOVE it.

New 2009 G37S 4 dr sedan
I just picked up my new 2009 G37 Journey 7 speed auto with Premium, Sport, Nav and Tech packages. Black on black. I traded in my 2007 Corvette coupe six speed with the Z51 suspension/brake package. The Vette was a nice car, but I got tired of shifting in the morning and evening rush hour every day. Also I began to worry about the reliability as the Vette aged. I had already had a fan module and the Mass Flow meter go belly up, plus the shifter was starting to rattle in first, second and third. The car only had 21,200 miles on it. I've only put 75 miles on the G37 sedan since yesterday, but I already love it. The steering is much more precise than the Corvette. The G37 turns in right now! The car has very little body roll, is much quieter inside, rides way better and the interior quality puts the Vette's interior to shame. My wife and I took some friends to lunch today and I realized how much I had missed the ability to take some other people along in the car with me. I have the feeling that when the G37 is broken in, it will be a very quick car. The Vette is supposed to be about a second quicker to 60 than the G37, but I really don't think I'm going to miss that second. Even at half throttle, the Vette got squirrelly in the rear end and wagged its tail a lot. It did not inspire confidence because of this. I already love the new 7 speed automatic transmission. It always seems to be in the correct gear, the shifts are quick and quite smooth in Drive, a bit harder in Sport. The steering column paddles are easy to use. Since this is the first automatic I've had since forever, I didn't have any old habits to unlearn and the paddles worked fine for me. The G sedans are true winners. As one of the recent reviewers said, "The car feels alive! You might as well put a "Drive Me Hard" sticker on the steering wheel!"
I hope you don't mind me posting here, but the G37 sedan forum doesn't have a thread like this. If the moderators just can't stand having this here, I guess they will move it.
