Thanks for the continued interest ... it's keeping me motivated. I ran into a few design issues with silk screening as the parts were being made and have to change the design again. The silk screening would have to be done on a mandrel or fixture because the cover has to be pre-stretched. This process makes them too expensive in the small quantities I am having made. If they are not pre-stretched for printing, the ink cracks making them look like crap.

I have another idea and hoping to have photos of the changes posted soon.

Good thing they're not using the Mandel Fixture

This version is still a little rough around the edges, but getting closer ...

All comments welcomed.

That's a good idea, but not my cup of tea. Or maybe it's just this concept that makes me feel this way. Reminds me of those cheap cellphone cases...fake leather and a see-thru plastic window covering up a nice looking phone.

If possible, I think I'd like one that just fit all the way around like a glove. Just my 2 cents!

Plain black neoprene all over is easy. This was the original idea since I figured no one takes the remotes out of their pockets or purses anyway.

Others wanted buttons and/or logo printed, but we couldn't cost effectively do this in small quantities. Screen printing required special manufacturing processes because the screen printed ink "cracks" when stretched over the remote.

Embroidery is too expensive in small quanitities and didn't work very well on neoprene (stitching was too jagged). The only cost effective solution was the clear vinyl window.

I want to see what the first articles look like, but will most likely be ordering the window version unless there is sufficient interest to justify ordering both styles.

Sorry to keep dragging this out guys.

Like a glove...

I'd prefer all neoprene myself, but would still be interested in the "cheap window" style also!

Hi Terry, the 2nd sample from the left looks fine to me. I would be happy to get that. PM me.

Plain black is fine with me. I've had my G for over a month now and I'm pretty sure I haven't pressed a single button on the remote even once.

I'm looking into just getting the chip surgically implanted in me so I don't have to keep putting it in my pocket.

That one may look OK because it isn't stretched over the remote. When installed, the embroidered buttons look "triangular". And the resolution on the neoprene sucks. Those button lines and the arc above the logo are both supposed to be SOLID.

It's most likely going to be between solid neoprene or vinyl window.

I'm still waiting for the shop to make the vinyl window sample. Production stuff a takes priority, so I have to sit tight. I'll keep you guys posted.
