15% is pretty much the second darkest. 5% is limo tint. You shouldn't have to pay more than $250-300 cash at a reputable tint shop.

I don't think it runs that high. I know of a long time tinting business charging about $180 for madico charcool. Call around and check on their existing projects. Expect to pay higher for ceramic films though. I'm paying about 300 for mine. Not sure what your state laws are, but in MA i can't go lower than 35% all around. The tickets for tint violations are pretty harsh.

Gryder, you're in So Cal, so tint jobs should be fairly cheap. Everything automotive costs a lot more here in Nor Cal.

Unfortunately, because mine was the first 07 G35 they had, and the fitting of the door pieces were so tight, they left tiny dents on the inside door handles when trying to pry them out. It's really not a huge deal, because they're super courteous, friendly, and they offered to give me a discount on my friend's tint job (I requested it instead of a monetary compensation for my tint job; my xmas present to my friend). If your tint shop does a better job, then props to you.

There should be absolutely NO reason to remove panels when tinting the 07 G35.

Really? I hear there are two ways to put on tint. You can tuck it beneath the rubber trim at the bottom of the window, but it won't be as clean as removing the door panel to apply the entire tint film on the entire window. I don't know enough about tint jobs, but if it's cheap and the work gets done properly, I guess that's all that matters.
