Smile 2007 G35 sedan 6MT clutch vibration

i testdrove the 07 6mt sedan, loved it. except i dont like is how the clutch petal vibrates when i get up to 6-7krpm. lots of clutch vibration.

I read that the vibration is caused by the hydralic clutch design.....

So all 6MT g35 coupe/sedan have this issue?

the vibration is pretty bad especially when it's near redline, im not sure if i'd be used to it.

Wink

I don't have that problem on mine. Or maybe I'm just not too picky about those little things.

Yes BMW clutches are hydraulic, but the design is different.
Mine is smooth as silk.

I have it on mine starting around 3250 rpm. I posted about this about 12 hours before you and most people in that thread seem to believe its normal.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's like a buzzing that you can hear and feel coming from the clutch pedal. It feels like its related to the rpm correct?

I wouldn't say its annoying, but I've owned a bunch of cars with stick, half of which are fast sports cars, none of them had this issue. It is not normal, at least for the cars I've owned and driven.

Everyone that reads this post, please, go out and see if this is the case for you all too.

I'm only at 500 miles and haven't had the chance to get on it yet.

Thanks,
Chris

during my 25min testdrive i noticed, the clutch vibration gets worse at higher RPM i don't recall at what rpm the vibration starts. all i know is at 6-7K the clutch pedal shakes like crazy esp at lower gear. my left foot felt funny after the testdrive because of the vibration. im not kidding. it's the old thing holding me back from ordering the car.

everyone says it's normal....... would like to hear from more 07 6MT sedan owner before I buy.

Shakes like crazy? I don't know about that. I've been pushing my car since I hit 500 miles and I haven't noticed any crazy vibrations in the clutch pedal. If anything vibrates, it's the shifter, but it's never bothered me. I'm going to take the car out for a little spin and see if I can notice anything. BRB.

So I just drove down to Malibu from Santa Monica and back on PCH and gunned it to 80mph a few times pushing it past 6000rpms. I couldn't feel any vibrations or hear any buzzing. Maybe some of you guys have super human hearing, but I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

I dont have an 07 6MT Sedan, but I have an 06 Coupe 6MT, with that being said, our designs cant be TOO far apart from one another, its basically the same damn transmission and clutch. When I first started driving this car, it sort of freaked me out, since I learned manual on this car. Once I learned fully how to drive it, Its no longer an issue. The clutch pedal ITSELF does not vibrate not one single bit, but AS your pushing in the clutch to shift, you can "feel" the revs until the clutch is fully depressed. As far as the actual pedal vibrating while im in gear and the clutch is fully engaged, absolutely not. I suggest you drive a different 07 6MT, and see how THOSE feel. If they feel the same, must be "normal".

"AS your pushing in the clutch to shift, you can "feel" the revs until the clutch is fully depressed."

that's what i was trying to describe. i won't know if the pedal is vibrating if i wasn't stepping on it. im not saying if it the clutch did vibrate when the clutch is NOT depressed, im not sure about that. All i know is that i can feel the strong vibration as soon as i step on the clutch at higher RPM in 2rd/3rd gear.

im not sure if i'd used to it, normal or not.
